Mounting the water intake pipe and
flow return pipe
 Assemble the water intake pipe as shown in Figure
B.
 Mount the foam pre-filter (18) on the plastic
strainer.
 Assemble the flow return pipe as shown in Figure
C.
The suction cups are designed for securing the water
intake pipe and flow return pipe. Clips are used to join
the suction cup to the water intake nozzle. Short clips
as well as long clips are supplied. The length of the
clips decides how far the tube is from the aquarium
wall. Use the clips which best suit your conditions of
installation.
 Plug the clips onto the suction cups.
 Fit the clips to the water intake pipe and flow return
pipe.

 Secure the water intake pipe (30) in a vertical
position to the inside of the aquarium wall as
illustrated.
You can shorten the flow return pipe (31) if
necessary.
 Secure the flow return pipe (31) in a horizontal
position above the water level to the inside of the
aquarium wall.
The filter intake is marked with IN on the hose
adapter unit (2). The filter drainage is marked with
OUT.
 Connect the hose from the intake IN to the water
intake pipe (30).
 Connect the hose from the drainage OUT to the
flow return pipe (31).
 Arrange the hoses so that they are not kinked
(hose collapses to reduce inner diameter) or
twisted as in being curled in a circle.
In such conditions, operation will otherwise be
impaired. The hoses can be shortened to suit each
unique application.
Putting the filter into operation
 Open the two valves (1).
 Press the start button (3) repeatedly in quick
succession until the filter begins to fill with water.
 Wait until water is visible in the hose leading to the
flow return pipe.
