 Pivot the cover (26) up at the hose adapter unit (2).
 Pivot the locking lever (25) up.
 Rotate the locking lever as far as the stop into the
"open" position.
 Take the hose adapter unit out of the motor head.
 Open the filter as described on page 14 .
 Take the filter media securing plate, filter materials
and filter baskets out of the filter case.
Servicing the filter materials
ATTENTION!
Risk of damage to the filter bacteria caused by
tap water.
 Use only water from the aquarium to clean
the filter materials.
 Clean the Tetra BB bio filter balls, the Tetra BF
biological filter foam and the Tetra CR ceramic
filter rings carefully with water from the aquarium.
 Change the filter media as indicated by the table
above.

Servicing the impeller
The impeller is on the bottom side of the motor head.
The impeller is comprised of an impeller wheel (36)
and an impeller shaft (34).
 Turn the impeller case cover (35) into the "open"
position.
 Remove the impeller case cover.
 Take out the impeller.
 If the impeller is damaged, replace it.
 Clean the impeller with warm tap water.
 Reinsert the impeller.
 Close the impeller case cover.
