2.4.2 Parking brake
2.4.2.1 Function
The function is used to lock the machine
on slopes, when transporting, etc.
Locking:
The parking brake is always locked when the
drive/service brake pedal (1:K) is unloaded (is in
its neutral position).
Releasing:
The parking brake is automatically released when
the machine is activated and the pedal (1:K) is
pressed forwards or backwards. Release can also
occur as follows:
2.4.2.2 Manual release
The parking brake can be released manually if the
machine needs to be moved without being activat-
ed.
The lever for releasing must never be
secured in the release position. This will
mean that the parking brake does not
function.
Note that the emergency brake (1:D)
only functions when the machine is acti-
vated.
Releasing is carried out as follows:
1. Hook the hook on the rubber strap into the lever
that is low down inside the left-hand rear wheel.
2. Pull the rubber strap so that lever is moved to
the left and at the same time push the machine
to the required location.
The machine must not be towed, this will damage
the transmission.
2.4.3 Drive-service brake (1:K)
If the machine does not brake as expect-
ed when the pedal is released, the emer-
gency brake (1:D) should be used.
The pedal (1:K) determines the speed. The service
brake is activated when the pedal is released. Dur-
ing braking the brake energy is returned to the bat-
teries.
1. Press the pedal forwards
and the machine starts to
move forwards.
2. No load on the pedal – the ma-
chine is stationary.
3. Pedal moved backwards –
the machine reverses.
4. Pressure relieved from the
pedal – the machine brakes.
There is an adjustment plate on the upper section
of the pedal. The adjustment plate can be adjusted
to three (3) positions to suit the driver's foot.

2.4.4 Emergency brake (1:D)
The pedal is used for rapid braking. When activat-
ing the machine the pedal must be pressed down.
The emergency brake only functions when the
machine is activated.
When the machine is not activated the parking
brake is always locked. See 2.4.2.
2.4.5 Steering wheel (1:H)
Used to steer the machine.
Never turn the steering wheel when the
machine is stationary with the imple-
ment lowered. Risk of abnormal loads
on the steering mechanism.
2.4.6 Mains supply socket (5:X) – Battery
charging
The rear of the machine is fitted with a mains sup-
ply socket for connecting 230V to charge the bat-
teries.
The machine must always, when it is not being
used, be connected to 230 V. The battery charger
charges the batteries automatically to the correct
level and then ensures that the batteries are main-
tained.
By the machine always being connected to 230 V,
grass cutting will always be started with fully
charged batteries.
About charging:
• The ideal ambient temperature for battery
charging is 5-15°C.
• In hot weather charging must not start until the
batteries have cooled to the ambient tempera-
ture.
• The charging time is approximately 10 hours
from drained to fully charged batteries. The bat-
tery status is shown in the indicator. See 2.4.10.
• Charging must not be interrupted, but must con-
tinue until the display reads 100% or 100 E%.
• The machine must not be started during charg-
ing.
