FIELD OF APPLICATION
• Kayak for 1/2 persons, on lakes, rivers
and sheltered coastal close waters.
• White-water suited boat to class grade 3
(EXPLORER 1= 4 - none obstructive
passages, high inordinate waves, large
swell, rolling, swirling water, surge and
torrent wash.
WARNING: White-water exploration to
Grade 3, with spray-cover, possible for
experienced paddlers only.
• Sail boat, 4m2 sail area, to max. wind
force 3 Beaufort.
• Motorisation to max 2.2KW/ 3HP -
With outrigger only!
ASSEMBLY
• Open and empty the carton, of your
EXPLORER and the footrests.
CAUTION: When slicing the carton, take
care not to damage the boat!
• Check the list of items to ensure no parts
are missing.
• Remove the wrapping foil and unroll the
boat.

• Inflate bottom and side tubes till they
reach approximate final shape.
• Insert the footrest (bars) into the desired
position of the footrest brackets (short
bar forward long footrest rear).

• Now only inflate your boat to full

operating pressure (0.3 bar).

DISMANTLING
• Choose clean ground for dismantling
and packing.
• Remove all loose parts from the boat
(seats, spray cover, steering assembly
and personal items, ...)
• Deflate the boat.
• Remove footrests
• Clean and dry your EXPLORER and the
accessories to avoid damage by grit!
• Check your EXPLORER for possible
damage, and repair such as soon as
possible, ready for next use!
Folding instructions
• Roll up the boat from bow to stern
(direction towards valves) so as to allow
discharge of most of the air.
• Unroll and place the boat flat on the
ground

Fold the boat in half lengthwise, turn over
the bow deck, middle deck and stern deck
to the inside

Start firmly rolling the boat from bow to
rear.

Fold the stern over to the inside of the roll
and continue until finish.
CAUTION: Make sure there is no air left
in the boat!
• Lace the rolled up boat by means of a
line or strap.
CAUTION: The boat must not be stored in
this state for longer periods! (Refer "care
and storage")
• You may now pack your EXPLORER
and standard accessories into your pack-
bag or rucksack (special accessory).
CAUTION: Check for completion of all
parts!
• If you still find residue of air inside air
chambers of the boat, you may not be
able
to
successfully
stow
EXPLORER into your bag or rucksack.
(In the event of that unroll the boat and
repeat the process of rolling up once
more).
