· Do not leave any tool spanners/keys in place.
Check before switching the equipment on that spanners, keys and adjusting
tools have been removed.
· Prevent inadvertent startup.
Do not carry plugged-in equipment with your finger on the switch trigger.
Make sure the switch is off before plugging in the equipment. Never bridge
the inching switch.
· Extension lead outdoor use.
When using the equipment outdoors, use only extension leads approved for
outdoor use and marked accordingly.
· Stay alert.
Watch what you are doing. Use common-sense when working. Do not use
the equipment when you are not concentrated.
· Check the equipment for any damage.
Before further use of the equipment, guards and other parts which are slightly
damaged should be carefully checked to ensure that they will operate pro-
perly and perform their intended functions. Check whether the moving parts
are functioning perfectly and that they do not stick, or if not whether any parts
are damaged. All parts must be correctly fitted and must meet all the condi-
tions needed for flawless operation of the equipment. Damaged guards and
other parts must be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised expert,
unless otherwise indicated in the operating instructions. Damaged switches
must be replaced by an authorised ROLLER after-sales service facility. Do
not use any electrical equipment if the switch does not turn off and on.
· Warning!
For your own personal safety and to ensure operation of the equipment for
its intended purpose, only use genuine spare parts and accessories. The
use of other attachments and other accessories involves a risk of personal
injury.
· Have your equipment repaired by an authorised expert.
This electrical equipment complies with the relevant safety regulations. All
maintenance and repair work, particularly that involving the electrical sy-
stems, may only be performed by an authorised expert or by trained per-
sonnel using genuine spare parts, otherwise injuries may result to the user.
All unauthorised modifications to the equipment are prohibited for safety
reasons.
Specific safety instructions
· Wear your personal protective equipment (e. g., your eye protectors).
· Before every using of the machine, examine the high-pressure-hose for
damages.
· The electric pressure-testing pump develops a very high pressure. There-
fore, be particularly careful. When working with the electric pressure-testing
pump, keep out all the persons normally not being employed in this working
area.
· When operating, the electric pressure-testing pump must stand in an hori-
zontal position and be in a dry condition.
· Do not switch-in the electric pressure-testing pump when the „Press" pres-
sure-regulating valve is closed. And do not operate the pressure-testing pump
for a longer period of time as well. Otherwise, the pressure-testing pump will
get overheated.
· Do not direct any liquid jets onto the electric pressure-testing pump. When
cleaning it, adhere to the same requirement as well.
· Do not pump any combustible fluids, acid solutions, or dissolvents.
· Protect electric pressure-testing pump against frost. If necessary, let run idle
for approx. 1 min so that the remaining water runs out or suck glycol/water
mixture.
· Before starting any servicing work, draw out the mains plug, and make un-
pressurerized the pressure-testing pump. Before dismounting the pressure
vessel, make it unpressurerized. Otherwise, when dismounting, the remai-
ning pressure can catapult pieces out of the unit.

2. Initial operation

2.1. Electric connection
Care must be taken to the power-line voltage! Before connecting the
pressure-testing pump, you must check and make sure that the electric vol-
tage indicated on the nameplate complies with the line / mains voltage sup-
plied by the power station. Put the (1) switch into the „0" position. When
employing an extension cable, make sure that the required cross-sectio-
nal area ( € 1,5 mm
it will be required that the pressure-testing pump is operated via a 30-mA
current-operated earth-leakage circuit breaker.
2.2. Suction hose
Fasten the (2) suction hose by means of screws at the (3) connecting piece.
Do not kink the suction hose. Pump clean fluids only. Do not remove the
(4) suction filter at the suction hose. Make sure that the pressure-testing
pump does not suck in any air. Otherwise, its function will be affected.
2.3. High-pressure hose
Fasten the (5) high-pressure hose by means of screws at the (6) connec-
ting piece.

3. Operating the unit

3.1. Leak testing to sanitary and heating facilities
Fill and de-air the sanitary and/or heating facility. Place the electric pressure-
testing pump onto an horizontal and smooth surface. Lay the (2) suction
hose together with the (4) suction filter into a container filled with approx.
10 l of water. Connect the (5) high-pressure hose with the sanitary and/or
heating facility which has to be leak tested. Open both the (7) „Test" stop
valve and the (8) „Press" pressure-regulating valve. In order to switch in the
pressure-testing pump, actuate the (1) switch. When turning the (8) „Press"
pressure-regulating valve, the desired pressure can be adjusted at the (9)
manometer, as described below: When turning into clockwise direction, the
pressure will be increased. However, when turning into counter-clockwise
direction, it will be decreased.
If required, de-air the sanitary and/or heating facility repeatedly. After any
de-airing action, repeat the pressure testing as well. As soon as achieving
the desired pressure, the following actions must be executed:, close the (7)
„Test" stop valve, open the (8) „Press" pressure-regulating valve, and switch
off the pump.
Provided that both the (10) connecting piece with manometer (max. 25bar!)
and the stop valve between the electrical pressure-testing pump and the
sanitary and heating facility under testing have been mounted, the following

possibility will exist: while testing the pressure, the electric pressure-testing
pump can be separated from the sanitary and heating facility being under

leak test. Note: the stop valve is an accessory part. In this case, after rea-

ching the desired pressure, the following measures must be taken: close
the stop valve at the (10) connecting piece, open the (8) „Press" pressure-
regulating valve, switch off the pump, and detach the high-pressure hose
at the (10) connecting piece as well.
3.2. Pumping fluids
Do not pump any combustible fluids, acid solutions, or dissolvents. Note
