Dear Customer,
Before using the appliance, please read the
following instructions carefully and keep this
manual for future reference. Th e appliance
must only be used by persons familiar with
these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
Th e equipment should only be connected
to an earthed socket installed in accordance
with the regulations.
Th is appliance is designed for outdoor
use. It must therefore be operated with an
additional earth-leakage circuit-breaker at a
rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA.
Make
sure
that
corresponds with the voltage marked on the
rating label.
Th is product complies with all binding CE
labelling directives.
Important safety instructions
 Caution:
do
circumstances, cover the grill rack with
aluminium foil, barbecue dishes or
other items, as the resulting build-up of
heat could destroy the grill.
 Before the appliance is used, the main
body as well as any attachment fi tted
should be checked thoroughly for any
defects. Should the appliance, for instance,
have been dropped onto a hard surface, it
must no longer be used: even invisible
damage may have adverse eff ects on the
operational safety of the appliance.
 During operation, the barbecue grill must
be placed on a level, heat-resistant surface,
impervious to splashes and stains. When
grilling food with a high fat or moisture
content, splashes are not always avoidable.
 Do not fi t the wind screen if the
appliance is used indoors.
 Do not position the grill next to a wall or
corner, and ensure that no infl ammable

 Caution: Th ere is always a possibility that
food with a high fat or moisture content
might catch fi re;
therefore always be fi lled with water
before the appliance is connected to the
mains power.
Th e water helps to cool down the grill
pan, reduces the build-up of smoke, and
also facilitates cleaning.
 Th e water level has to be kept between
the 'Min' and 'Max' markings at all times.
Th ese markings can be found inside the
grill pan (see diagrams).
 Always ensure that the water level is kept
above the 'Min. ' mark. Water should be
added in good time, while ensuring that
it does not come into contact with the
heating element.
 Before using the barbecue grill, always
ensure that the grill pan and heating
element are correctly fi tted into the
housing.
 Th e barbecue grill must be supervised at
all times during operation.
 Th is appliance may be used by children
(at least 8 years of age) and by persons
any
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lacking experience and
knowledge, provided they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance and fully understand
all
dangers
involved.
 Children must not be permitted to play
with the appliance.
 Children must not be permitted to carry
out any cleaning or maintenance work on
the appliance unless they are supervised
and at least 8 years of age.
 Th e appliance and its power cord must be
kept well away from children under 8 at all
times.
 Caution: Keep any packaging materials
well away from children – these are
a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suff ocation.
