6. Special safety instructions
• Working with the device causes dust that can
be hazardous to your health, flammable, or
explosive. Take appropriate safety measures.
9 Wear a dust mask. Make sure that you have
good ventilation at the workplace.
• For safety's sake, always use the machine with
the auxiliary handle.
• Always use both hands when drilling.
• Never remove the object being drilled while the
machine is still running.
• Warning when drilling into walls. Localise
electrical, water, and gas lines with a detector.
7. Working with the drill/percussion
drill
• Clamp the bit in the chuck securely and firmly.
• To switch the drill on, press the on/off switch (1)
and the machine will start.
• To switch it off, release the switch (1) and the
machine will stop.
• For continuous operation, press the on/off
switch (1) and the locking button (3) on the
handle at the same time.
To switch off continuous operation (3), press the
on/off switch (1) and then release it again.
Electronic Speed Regulation
• Increasing pressure on the on/off switch (1) will
cause the speed to increase.
• You can preset the desired speed with the
setting wheel (4) in the on/off switch (1):
Turning in the "+" direction = increased speed
Turning in the "-" direction = decreased speed
Handling the Quick Drill Chuck (5)
To insert a drill bit, hold the back section of
the drill chuck and turn the front section in a
clockwise direction (as seen from the handle). Put
the bit completely in and turn the front section of
the drill chuck firmly to the left.
WARNING: Only use bits with cylindrical, round
shafts.
Auxiliary Handle with Depth Guide
The auxiliary handle makes it easier to apply
pressure when drilling and gives you a secure
grip when working.
To assemble, unscrew the wing bolt, push the
adapter over the drill chuck to the fastening ring
and tighten.
You can accurately set the depth of the drill
hole by using the depth guide (7). Put it into the
graduated hole that is provided and slide it to the
same length as the tip of the bit.
Read the value in mm from the scale.
Subtract the depth of the drill hole from this
value.
Set this value on the depth guide (7) and firmly
lock the stop position with the wing bolt.
Switching between clockwise/counter-clockwise
rotation
• For drilling, hammer drilling, screwing in screws:
Push the selector lever (2) to position "R" =
clockwise rotation
• Unscrewing screws: Push the selector lever (2)
to position "L" = counter-clockwise rotation.
Switching to drilling/hammer drilling
For hammer drilling in tiles, cement, or masonry,
put the switch (6) to the position
machine running in a clockwise direction at a low
speed. Slowly increase the speed and the
pressure on the drill.
When drilling deeply into cement and rock,
frequently remove the drilling dust by pulling the
bit out of the hole.
