Installation

Installation Site
The recommended installation height is normally 0.8 to 1.2
m. However, when the 6800-xxx-10x(M) is used to monitor
rooms, a height of 2.0 to 2.5 m is recommended.
The installation site should be within the stated detection
ranges of the FM Sensors (refer to relevant Operating
Instructions).
In addition, the following points should be observed when
installing:
- Insert 6812 U-101 must be mounted on a solid wall,
because any movement of the FM Sensor has the same
effect as thermal movement within the detection zone.
- Optimum operation of the FM Sensor is only ensured if
the device is properly aligned when mounted and if,
after installation, the terminal screws are in the correct
position (see relevant Operating Instructions).
