1. Release the metal locking spring (1.).
2. Place the inner protective screen on the inner
side of the electro-optical welding filter as
shown in figure (2.a). Insert the electro-optical
welding filter along with the inner protective
screen between the supporting frame and the
metal spring until the electro-optical welding
filter is gently held in the welding filter holder by
2.a the metal spring (2.b).

Lift the supporting frame with the welding filter
and put the outer protective screen in place (3.).
4. Lower the supporting frame with welding filter
(4.a) and fasten the metal locking spring (4.b).
5. When using the electro-optical welding filter with
one or more external potentiometers, insert the
potentiometer housing into the corresponding
opening(s) in the inner left side of the helmet (5.).

Tighten the nut on the shade level potentiometer
axis and turn the potentiometer to one of the
extreme positions (9 left, 13 right or OFF). Set
the large shade level potentiometer knob to the
same extreme position just as previously with
the potentiometer axis, and push the knob onto

the axis. When using the electro-optical welding
filter with more external potentiometers, use the
axes of smaller knobs to set the potentiometers
to extreme positions first. Adequately set the
positions of the knobs and push them into the
potentiometer openings (6.).
