9. Installation

Before installing the infrared heating elements the place for installation has to be chosen
carefully. It is necessary to verify that the function of the infrared waves is not affected and
the safety distances are meeting the limits (please note "safety advice").
For all kinds of ceilings are different it is important that the dowels and screws are suitable
for the ceiling material. Therefore only standard dowels and screws are included which will
only be suitable for brick ceilings. We recommend the use of fire resistant dowels. Please
note that the dowels and screws have to withstand 4 times the weight of the heating ele-
ment (about 25kg each)! Welltherm infrared heaters heat up solid material only. To get the
best effect the living zone should be within the reach of the infrared beams directly.
Step 1
Deposit the packed panel on the floor so that the label is on the upper side of the carton.
Now open the cover plate carefully. Lift the infrared heater on the side and take the drilling
template out (it is under the panel). To reduce the danger of damages please open the heater
package in the room where you intend to install the heater.
Note that an exact positioning of the screws is the basic for the simple and trouble-free
assembly.
Important: The drilling template has 5 holes. For the ceiling installation only the holes in the
center are relevant. (look picture above)
