7 USB port
Type B, for connecting a computer. The audio data,
digitized in the interface, is sent to your computer via this
USB port. It also acts as power supply for the
ADI-004M.
8 Control MIX
Selects and fades the signal for the analog outputs of the
audio interface:
• left position PREAMP: preamplified signal of the input
sources
• right position CPU: audio signal coming via the USB
connection
• center position MIX: both signal sources (PREAMP and
CPU) can be heard.
9 Output MONITOR
3.5 mm jack for connecting stereo headphones.
10 Control LEVEL
For adjusting the volume at the headphones output and
at the 6.3 mm jack outputs.
11 Input S/PDIF IN
Coaxial input (RCA) for connecting a signal source with
digital output and supported sampler frequency.

Battery compartment for a 9 V block
For power supply of the audio interface alternatively to
the USB port or the power unit.

Power input 9V AC/DC
For connecting the supplied power unit alternatively to
power supply via the USB port or the 9 V battery.
14 Button PHANTOM +48V
On/off switch for +48 V phantom power at the XLR inputs.
Caution! With the button pressed, phantom power is
switched on (the LED PHANTOM +48V lights). In this
case no microphones with unbalanced output must be
connected as these microphones may be damaged.
15 Outputs OUTPUT R/L
Analog outputs (6.3 mm jacks), supply the preamplified
signal of the input sources and/or an audio signal coming
from the computer – depending on the position of the
control MIX. A monitor system or units with line level
inputs such as mixers, recorders or amplifiers may be
connected here.
16 Output S/PDIF OUT
Coaxial output (RCA), supplies a digital audio signal
coming from the computer.
17 Input RCA IN
Line input (stereo RCA) for connecting a signal source
with line level (e.g. CD player).
