SPEAKING ELECTRONIC WEIGHING SCALES
AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC BATHROOM SCALE "LITHIUM"
Your new Terraillon electronic bathroom scale
was designed to accurately display your
wieght. It should work for many years when
used in normal conditions.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

• Always weigh yourself with the same
bathroom scale on a hard surface. Avoid
rugs and carpets.
• Clean your bathroom scale with a damp
cloth but do not allow the water to enter
into the scale.
• Remove the batteries if you do not intend to
use your bathroom scale for an extended
period.

POWER SUPPLY

These weighing scales use the following
batteries, supplied with the appliance :
• 2 x lithium batteries (CR2032) for the power
supply of the "weighing" function.
1 x 9 volt alkaline battery for the power
supply of the "voice" function.
• Open the lithium battery compartment
underneath the appliance. Remove the casing
for the lithium batteries and put in the 2
batteries respecting the polarities (+/-).
Replace the casing and close the lid.
Open the 9 volt battery compartment
underneath the appliance. Take out the
connector for the 9 volt battery and connect
the 9 volt battery to it respecting the polarities
(+/-). Place the battery in the casing and close
the lid.
Don't throw away worn out batteries. Place
them in a container intended for this purpose
so that they can be collected and recycled
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Adjustment of volume : there are 3 volume
levels: loud, quiet or silent. Press the button
with a pen to select the desired volume.

• Choice of language : Press the button on the
back of the weighing scales to select the
language: French, English or German.
• If you wish to change the measuring units
from Metric to Imperial or vice versa (i.e.
Kilograms to Stones to Pounds), simply adjust
the conversion switch located on the under-
side of the scales.
When the scales are first turned on or after
replacing the batteries :
Give a brief tap in the centre of the appliance.
The screen displays a row of zeros then
switches off.
Wait for 10 seconds before getting on the
scales.
For subsequent uses, do as follows :
Get directly onto the scales, staying as still as
possible. You will hear a voice say "Hello !".
When the weight is stabilised, it is displayed
and the voice declares the result, for example :
"You weigh fifty six kilos three hundred grams"
AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF
When you get off your weighing scales, the
screen displays a row of zeros, then the
scales switch off automatically after a few
seconds.
