RECOMMENDATIONS

To enjoy a high quality espresso, remember to:
- Change the water in the tank at least once a week.
- If possible, use water with a hardness of less than 12
French degrees to reduce the deposits inside the machi-
ne.
- Used warmed cups.

DESCALING

The formation of limescale is a natural consequence of using of
the machine. Descaling is necessary every 2-3 months; if the
water is very hard (high content of calcium carbonate), desca-
ling should be done more frequently.
Use descaling products that are not excessively aggressive.
To descale the machine you can use any commercially availa-
ble non-toxic descaling product for coffee machines.
To descale the machine, proceed as follows:
The use of non-aggressive descaling products is advised
Turn off the machine by pu-
shing the main on/off switch
into the "0" position.
Remove the water tank "L" and
empty out the residual water.
Fill the tank with fresh drinking
water up to the MAX level.
Add the descaling agent and
wait for it to dissolve (stir to
make the product dissolve fa-
ster).
Place a container with a capa-
city of at least 1 litre beneath
the brew group "C".
Switch the machine on by pu-
shing the main on/off switch
"M" into the "I" position. Check
that there are no capsules in
the capsule compartment "B".

Wait until the temperature ready indicator LED "F" illuminates.
Start

Start/Stop
"F" again to shut off fl ow.
Fill the water tank "L" again and repeat the steps described
above a second time.
The descaling cycle is complete.

Run water through the machine
by pressing the coffee button.
After 30 seconds press the cof-
fee button "F" again to shut off
the fl ow.
Leave the descaling solution
inside the machine for approx.
10-15 minutes.
Run water through the machine
again for 30 seconds and wait
an additional 10-15 minutes.
Remove the water tank "L",
empty the residual water with
descaling product.
Rinse it out thoroughly under
running water and fi ll it with
fresh drinking water.
Fit the tank "L" back in the
machine until it is inserted cor-
rectly in place
Empty the container and place
it back under the brew group
"C".
WARNING: do not reuse the
water with descaling agent
contained in the collection
container to avoid impairing
the machine's performance.
Wait until the temperature re-
ady indicator LED "F" illumi-
nates.
Run water through the ma-
chine by pressing the coffee
button "F".
When the tank "L" is nearly
empty, press the coffee button
