STR 100 microSat
TV
1
The drawing shows the simplest system: TV set and
2
satellite receiver, the power for which can be supp-
led from a car battery or from the mains using the
plug-in adapter.
VCR
Decoder
The 3 EURO-AV sockets on the satellite receiver
3
5
have many uses. The drawing shows standard
wiring. A second video recorder can be connected
to the decoder socket (DEC). In the same way a
second decoder can be connected instead of a
video recorder to the VCR socket (e.g. Première).
4
For VCR playback the signal path is automatically
6
switched through to the TV set via the receiver
(even in stand-by).

If a terrestrial aerial connection is available then this

A connected decoder is also automatically linked
(evaluation of the switching voltage). On decoders
that do not produce a switching voltage, the swit-
ching voltage can be activated when the program-
me position is selected by programming the recei-
ver for the decoder socket (DEC).
The STR 100 micro SAT also produces excellent
stereo and mono radio signals. 48 radio stations
from the Astra and Eutelsat satellites have been
preprogrammed. In radio mode the TV screen is
switched dark. A hifi system can be connected via a
free EURO-AV socket using an adapter cable availa-
ble from accessories dealers.
Multi-satellite reception
(Multifeed)
1
Signals from 2 satellites (2 aerials or 1 aerial with
1
2 LNBs) can also be received with this receiver.
2
A 22 kHz coax relay must be installed between the
2
3
receiver and the 2 LNBs (see drawing).
3
In this case the relevant programme positions must
be programmed appropriately for the additional
LNB for V2 and H2 and the local oscillator frequen-
4
cy L02.
With V2 and H2 a 22 kHz signal is superimposed on
4
5
the 14/18 V LNB voltage, causing the 22 kHz coax
relay to switch to the second LNB. This makes it
possible, for example, to receive Astra (19° east)
and Eutelsat (13° east) with the one aerial input.
5
The Eutelsat satellite TV and radio stations
(13° east) have already been preprogrammed at the
works to H2 or V2 and stations from all other satel-
lites to H1 or V1.

Connection
Connect satellite receiver (see Connection Exam-
ples)
Switch TV to AV programme position.
The receiver is preprogrammed for a LNB oscillator
frequency of 9750 MHz. If another LNB is used,
then this frequency is to be entered in the Installati-
on Menu.
If the aerial is correctly aligned, then the receiver
will work immediately.
If the aerial has not yet beenaligned (e.g. during
camping operation), you can do this easily yourself.

To receive the Astra satellite in Germany the aerial
elevation angle must be set between 28° (in the
north) and 36° (in the south) (see degrees scale on
the aerial), e.g. in Nuremberg to 33°.
Set the SAT receiver to programme position 1
(ARD).
Point the aerial towards the south and, keeping an
eye on the TV screen, turn slightly towards the east
until the station is received. Carefully adjust the
sideways and elevation angles to get the best pictu-
re and then tighten all nuts.
The aerial mast must be earthed in accordance with
VDE 0855.
