Important operating functions and basic settings

The remote control can also be used to control TV

sets from GRUNDIG and many other manufacturers
(See chapter on "Universal Remote Control").
Several buttons on the remote control have special

functions on the Installation Menu (see "Installation
Menu" description).
Please insert the supplied battery and observe cor-

rect polarity! Markings on the base of the compart-
ment indicate this. Close cover.

The required programme position is
selected directly using the numbered
buttons, e.g. P 123.
When selecting a multi-digit program-
me position, the digits are entered in
order from left to right. So in the exam-
ple you would enter 1, 2 and 3.
In this way you can select up to 199
SAT programme positions (SAT TV and
SAT radio).

Some TV sets switch automatically to
AV mode when the SAT receiver is
switched on.

The TP 720 SAT Telepilot supplied can be used to

control not only the STR 100 micro SAT satellite
receiver, but also GRUNDIG SAT receivers and
units of identical design from other manufacturers.

It can also be used to operate many video recorders
and TV sets from GRUNDIG as well as some from
other manufacturers.

The Telepilot is programmed at works to operate
the SAT receiver as its main function and TV sets or
videorecorders as an auxilliary function.

The basic works settings for GRUNDIG units are
marked with arrows in the table. If the batteries are
removed for a longer period or if a long time is
taken when changing the batteries, this basic set-
ting is reset automatically!

Explanation of the basic setting:
The number 30 means: GRUNDIG video recorder
operating level 1.
The number 00 means: main function: SAT receiver
Auxilliary function: TV set
The number 90 means: GRUNDIG TV sets
