Intended Use

The air nibbler is intended for cutting sheet metal and aluminium only. The air
nibbler should only be operated in weather-protected environments.
Max. Cutting Capacity 1.0 mm for Steel up to 400 N/mm
Max. Cutting Capacity 0.6 mm for Steel up to 600 N/mm
Max. Cutting Capacity 0.5 mm for Steel up to 800 N/mm
Max. Cutting Capacity 1.5 mm for Aluminium up to 250 N/mm

Before first Use

Unpack the air nibbler and check for any damage in transit. Keep packaging
materials out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation.

Preparation

Secure the workpiece firmly.

To increase the self life of the cutter and the die it is recommended to apply a
lubricating agent alongside the intended cutting line. For cuts in steel sheet
use a cutting paste or the Westfalia cutting oil spray, article no. 55 26 38. For
cuts in aluminium please use Petroleum.

Please keep in mind that the edges might be sharp and hot. Wear safety
gloves when grasping the workpieces.

Do not cut the workpiece along welding seam.

Do not cut several workpieces at a time and do not cut layered sheets that
exceed the max. workpiece thickness.

Start-up

The air nibbler has to be provided with lubricating oil during operation. Before
each use add oil through the air fitting or use an oil-fog lubricator. Also pay
attention to the chapter "Lubrication".
1. Remove the protection plug form the air inlet (7). Wrap some Teflon tape
around the quick coupler (6) in order to seal it.
2. Connect the quick coupler with the air nibbler and the other end with the
compressor. Switch on the compressor and setup a pressure of 6.0 bars on
the compressor.
3. Push down the throttle lever (4).
