3.2 Establishing a connection to hearing aids
To establish an audio transmission between the multistreamer
and the hearing aids, you first need to fasten the loop antenna in
place around your neck. Then connect the loop antenna to the
loop antenna port of the multistreamer as seen below. You can
connect to either port; there is no difference between right and
left.
To establish the connection to your hearing aids proceed as
follows:
1. Start playback of the audio source (for example TV, Radio,
MP3-Player, etc.).
2. With hearing aids on and wearing the multistreamer with
the loop antenna around your neck, choose program three
for audio streaming. Volume level can be controlled on the
transmitting device (TV, radio, etc.) or on the multistreamer
and thereby on the hearing aids. Distorted sound playback in
the hearing instrument indicates a volume level too high. If
you encounter difficulties establishing a connection or audio
transmission, see chapter six (Dealing with problems).
Advice:
Even during audio playback, the microphones of your
hearing aids are working. This ensures you can still perceive the
situation you are in.
