Instructions for use
Relining of new dentures
®
with Molloplast B
Plaster cast
Pour a master cast of dental stone class III (Fig. 1).
Spacer
is fabricated with a thermo-vacuum apparatus.
Thickness of the spacer is to be determined by the
dentist and should be between 1 - 3 mm. If a ther-
mo-vacuum unit is not available, use cold curing
acrylic and trim to the requested thickness (Fig. 2).
Set up teeth and try-in with spacer in patient's
mouth (Fig. 3).
Investing
After the try-in invest the wax pattern with spacer
into the flask with counter. An insulation of the
teeth by means of FLEXISTONE ® or FLEXISTONE
Plus is recommended. Place flask in boiling water
for approx. 4 min., then open flask and remove all
traces of wax.
Important:
Wax residues must not penetrate or adhere to plaster.
Insulation
Apply an alginate-based insulating liquid and re-
position the spacer.
Acrylic mixing
Acrylic should be mixed according to instructions
and packed into a lukewarm flask. Prior to pres-
® sing, place a polyethylene (PE-)foil between acrylic
and spacer. (Fig. 4).
Pressing
Pre-press in intervals of 10-15 min. at 100 kp.
Open the flask and remove PE-foil and excess acrylic.
Close flask with spacer and PE-foil and put it into a
clamp. Screw clamp tight, place flask in cold water
and bring it to the boil. Let boil for approx. 30 min.,
then cool down flask. This pre-polymerisation pre-
vents possible reactions with the acrylic monomer.
