Explanation of symbols

Several symbols are used to guide you through these instructions which draw your atten-
tion to important points:

Safety warnings

TERRADO glass roof systems are not conservatories. There is no thermal separation of
aluminium profiles and glass. Build-up of moisture due to fluctuations in temperature
leads to drop formation. Also when connected to all-round glazing the room is not comple-
tely sealed.
Proximity to an escarpment in accordance with SIA 261 6.2.2.4 is not taken into account.
A load case such as snow drifts or sliding snow load were not taken into account. Should
the above be a hazard to the glass roof system, snow clearance is to be arranged by the
owner.
Loads which are hung on STOBAG glass roof systems such as hammocks, flowerpots or
other weights may lead to damage or cause the system to collapse and for this reason are
not allowed. STOBAG accepts no liability for such damage.
Depending on the optional lighting systems, lamps or transformers may emit great
amounts of heat. Pay attention to the safety distances from nearby objects.
Should it be necessary to go onto the glass roof for cleaning purposes, it is only permis-
sible to move along the longitudinal rafters or to use said rafters for support. In order to
prevent a fall you must be appropriately secured. We recommend that cleaning be carried
out once a year by one of our specialist dealers.
Modifications may be made to a sun protection system or the configuration of an auto-
matic system with electric power only with the agreement of STOBAG or the specialist
supplier. Modifications to a sun protection system can create a dangerous situation and
considerable risk of damage to people or objects.
