SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Installation location / Specific safety instructions
1. Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
2. Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.
3. Protect this product from extreme heat and cold as well as from direct sunlight and dust.
4. Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for
example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
5. In order to reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the product to fire (fireplace,
grill, candles, cigarettes and so on) or water (water drops, water splashes, vases, tubs, ponds and
so on).
6. Use this product in temperate latitudes only. Avoid tropical and especially humid climatic regions.
7. This product is not suitable for commercial use. It is designed for household use only.
8. Do not use this device in extremely dry surroundings. This could led to electrostatic discharge.
9. Do not place this device near devices which create strong magnetic fields (e.g. Motors,
loudspeakers, transformers).
10. Warning! Extreme volume can lead to permanent hearing damage from high noise pressure.
11. When installing the product, leave sufficient space for ventilation. Do not install in bookcases, built-
in cabinets or the like.
12. Do not impede ventilation by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers,
table-cloths, curtains, etc. Do not insert any objects.
Batteries
• Caution! There is danger of explosion from improper replacement of the batteries. Replace
batteries only with the same or equivalent type of battery.
• Always change the entire battery pack. Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries with different
charge state.
• Make sure the batteries are correctly inserted. Observe the polarity (+) plus / (-) negative on the
battery and the housing. Improperly inserted batteries can lead to leakage or, in extreme cases, a
fire or an explosion.
• Never expose batteries to excessive heat (e.g. bright sun, fire), and never throw them into fire. The
batteries could explode.
• The connections must not be short-circuited.
• Remove used batteries. Remove the batteries if you know that the device will not be used for a
longer period of time. Otherwise, the batteries could leak and cause damage.
• Keep batteries out of reach of small children. If batteries have been swallowed, seek immediate
medical attention.
• Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the device before being charged.
• If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them accordingly. Prevent battery
acid from coming into contact with skin and eyes. If you do get battery acid in your eyes, flush them
thoroughly with lots of water and consult a physician immediately. If battery acid comes into contact
with your skin, wash the affected area with lots of water and soap.
Danger of suffocation! Keep all packaging material away from children.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an appropriate way. Contact your local authorities about
collection points or waste separation.
