Description:
The HLP 8 consists of 8 LED lights type RS 2000, mounted on a robust aluminium frame.
The master lamp contains a microprocessor-circuit, which controls all processes and
monitors the power supply.
One important characteristic is the gentle raising of the tension (soft start) of all lamps at
the fi rst switch-on. Lamps fi rst get low power for a short time; thereafter the normal power
is feeding the lamps for standard performance.
Advantages:
- Optimized protection of the lamps (extension of the life expectancy)
- Decrease of power peaks, which have to be supplied by the accumulators.
Alteration of the operating voltage, e.g. by discharging of accumulators, will automatically
be regularized.

- Constant brightness of the lamps
- Protection of the lamps against over-tension
- Compensation of losses on the supply line
- Optimized usage of the accumulator capacity
- Protection of the accumulators against deep-discharging
The light output is automatically adapted according to the ambient light conditions by a
photo sensor.
The HLP 8 can easily be mounted on a vehicle.
Security advises:
Set up the HLP 8 in vertical position and direct it to the approaching traffi c. Only introdu-
ced staff is allowed to set and to implement the HLP 8.
At usage on vehicles: Always make sure before driving that the HLP 8 is ready to use. Re-
pairing works must not be done in the course of an action. Do not stay in the unsecured
areas. Heavy accidents with potential fatal injuries might be the consequences.
Respect the maximum speed which is 80 km/h when a HLP 8 is mounted on vehicle.
Start:
Connect power cord and operate the ON-OFF switch.
Maintenance and servicing:
To prevent a reduction of the light output because of dirt, the lenses have to be cleaned
with clear water and a brush. The usage of high pressure cleaners, vapour emitters or
similar equipment is inadvisable.
Change of LED clusters:
Remove the lens of the corresponding RS 2000 beamer by a 90° rotation to the left and
take out the cluster. Disconnect the plus and minus cables. The re-assembly has to be
made in reverse order. Only use original LED clusters.
