1 Features
The TM-17 is a powerful megaphone with a hand-held
microphone and can be operated with batteries or via
an external power supply (e. g. electric system of the
car). It has a maximum power of 25 W and offers two
switchable signal sounds.
2 Operating Elements
1 Talk switches for the microphone: while talking,
keep one of the switches pressed
The switch at the hand-held microphone can be
engaged by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
Then the microphone remains switched on.

4 Latch for the battery compartment cover
5 Hand-held microphone, fixed at the megaphone
6 Shoulder strap
7 Jack for connection to an external 12 V voltage
supply via a low voltage plug ∅ 2.1 / 5.5 mm
(inside/outside diameter), inside contact = ⊕ , e. g.
via the supplied cable for connection in the car
8 Battery compartment cover
9 Switch for the operating mode

3 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
CAUTION
Never operate the megaphone close to
anybodyʼs ears; the amplified voice or
howlback may cause hearing damage.

Never put down the unit in humid environments and
protect it against excessive heat (admissible ambi-
ent temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

Never use the unit in the rain. Make sure that no liq-
uid will penetrate the unit.

For cleaning only use a soft cloth, dry or slightly
damp; never use chemicals or aggressive deter-
gents.

No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purpos-
es than originally intended, if it is not correctly oper-
ated, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
