Safety Instruction | General Information

General safety requirements
With multiple hazards: The safety instructions must be
read and understood before setting up and prior to the
operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of
accessories on the machine and before working in the
vicinity of the machine or tool. If this is not the case,
serious bodily injuries may result.
The machine should be set up, configured, and used only
by personnel who have been adequately qualified and
trained.
The machine may not be modified. Modifications or
alterations may reduce the effectiveness of the safety
measures and increase the risks to the operator.
The safety instructions must be retained. Hand them to
the operator.
Never use damaged machines.
The machine must be subjected to regular inspections to
check whether it is clearly and legibly marked with the
required
design

obtain any replacement signs.
Hazards caused by ejected parts
Parts may be ejected at high speeds if the workpiece,
accessories, or even the machine tool itself breaks.
When operating the machine or when changing its
accessories, the operator must wear impact resistant eye
protection at all times. The degree of protection required
should be evaluated separately for each use.
Verify that the workpiece is securely fastened.
Regularly check that the speed of the machine is not
higher than the speed listed on its ratings plate. These
speed checks must be carried out without grinding pin /
abrasive installed and in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
Make sure sparks and debris resulting from use of the
tools do not pose a hazard.
Unplug the machine from the power supply before
replacing the abrasive and before servicing.

Make sure that the abrasive is clamped firmly in the
machine.
Check that the abrasive's max operating speed in rpm is
equal to or greater than the spindles rated speed.
Attach only brushes whose max speeds are higher than
the machine's.
Make sure that the cowl has been secured properly, is in
good working order, and is inspected at regular intervals.
Entanglement hazards
Choking, scalping, and/or cuts may occur if loose fitting
clothing, jewellery, necklaces, long hair, or gloves are not
kept away from the machine and the accessories.
Operating hazards
When the machine or tool is being used, the operator's
hands may be exposed to hazards such as cuts as well as
abrasions and heat. Wear suitable gloves to protect your
hands.
Avoid contact with the rotating shaft, the installed tool,
and the moving grinding pad to prevent crushing or
cutting to hands or other body parts. Wear suitable
gloves as hand protection.
The operator and the maintenance personnel must be
physically able to handle the size, weight, and capacity of
the machine.
Hold the machine or tool correctly: Be prepared to
counteract the usual or sudden movements – keep both

Make sure your body is balanced, steady, and stable.
Release the control device for starting and stopping in
the event of disruption to the power supply.
Use only lubricants recommended by the manufacturer.
Wearing safety goggles is mandatory; wearing protective
gloves and protective clothing is recommended.
A rotating file must not be operated at a speed higher
than the rated speed.
Please note: Although the control device has been
released for stopping the machine, the tool continues to
spin fora short time until it comes to a complete stop.
We recommend putting down the machine on a secure
place.
Warning: The processed material may cause an
explosion or fire.
Check the grinding pad before use, Do not use if cracked,
broken, or dropped.
Never use the machine without abrasive.
There is a risk of an electrostatic discharge when the
machine is used on plastic and other nonconducting
materials.
