∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials
well away from children – such materials
are a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suffocation.
∙ Every time the appliance is used, the
main body as well as any attachment
fi tted should be checked thoroughly for
any defects. Should the appliance or the
adaptor, for instance, have been dropped
onto a hard surface, it must no longer be
used: even invisible damage may have
adverse effects on the operational safety
of the appliance.
∙ Switch off and remove the adaptor
from the wall socket
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and
- before cleaning the appliance.
∙ When removing the adaptor from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the adaptor itself.
∙ Do not leave the appliance unattended.
∙ Caution: The trimming blade is
extremely sharp; to prevent injuries,
ensure that at all times during use the
blade does not touch the skin.
∙ Use only original accessory parts; the
use of any attachments other than those
provided by the manufacturer may be
hazardous to the user.

Charging process
∙ Before using the appliance for the fi rst
time the battery must be fully charged,
which will take about 8 hours. The
appliance can remain on charge for a
longer period without damage or danger,
but this should generally be avoided. With
a fully charged battery, the appliance can
be operated for around 60 minutes.
∙ If you experience a considerable
decrease in trimming performance,
switch off the appliance and recharge the
battery. The beard trimmer / shaper may
also be used with the adapter connected
directly. In this case, however, the battery
must be briefl y charged for approximately
10 minutes. The charging process starts
only once the unit is switched off.
∙ Insert the connecting plug of the adapter
into the corresponding jack on the
charging base.
∙ Ensure that the trimmer is switched off
and place it into the charging base.
∙ Insert the adapter into a suitable wall
socket. The charging process begins
automatically. The red charge indicator at
the bottom of the appliance remains lit as
long as the appliance is connected to the
mains.
∙ Once the charging process is complete,
always remove the adapter from the wall
socket fi rst before disconnecting the jack
from the charging base.
∙ The battery can also be recharged by
inserting the connecting plug of the
adapter directly into the corresponding
