Important Safety Instructions
1. Read the instructions carefully and keep them safe.
2. For additional protection, we recommend the use of a power
outlet with a rated current of 10A. To avoid circuit overload, do
not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.
3. Do not fill the kettle when it's on its base. Dry the bottom of the
kettle body before placing it onto its power base.
4. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
5. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being
used near children or infirm persons.
6. The electric kettle must be operated on a flat surface. Do not
place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or
on top of other electric appliances.
7. Do not touch the kettle's hot surfaces, use the handle. Be
aware of steam being emitted from the spout or lid, especially
during refilling. Do not open or remove the lid during the
boiling cycle.
8. Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water. Do not
fill above the "max" indicator. Do not operate the kettle if the
water level is below the minimum mark.
9. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or
touch hot surfaces. Always store any excess portion of the
power cord in the base unit compartment.
10. Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or other
liquids. Do not use your appliance with an extension cord
unless the cord has been checked and tested by a qualified
technician or service person. Always ensure that the voltage
of the power outlet matches that of the voltage (AC only)
marked on the appliance.
11. Always unplug from the socket under the following conditions:
No water in the kettle, when filling with water, the kettle is
not in use, before cleaning or moving the kettle.
12. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.
