3. General Features

The newly designed VARIO 1000 E is a pond filter with multi-chamber system and pump suitable for
small and medium ponds up to 2.500 litres. By means of two ballast-chambers which can be filled up
with either stones, pebbles or sand, the filter reaches very good stability in the pond. The two chamber
filter module allows, along with the supplied BIOMEC filtering foams for biological and mechanical
filtration, to use additional filtering media. According to needs you can insert zeolite, lava or other filter
media so that a higher natural, chemical filtration is granted. The VARIO 1000 E can be extended with
additional filter modules (Item Nr. 29993). Moreover, by means of a supplied adapter, you can install a
second pump (Item Nr. 72434) to create water spray jets or pond aeration.
Due to this option the filter can be optimally adapted to the existing conditions of your pond.

5. Safety Instructions

Check that the voltage shown on the label of the unit corresponds to the voltage of the
mains supply.
Connect the unit only to power supplies with residual current breaker (RCCD) with
sensitivity of 30 mA.
Always disconnect all electrical appliances from the mains before placing your hands in the water.
The line cord cannot be replaced or repaired. Should the cord become damaged the appliance must
be discarded. Check line cord and plug before installation and protect from heat, oils and sharp edges.
Important ! This unit must not be used in swimming pools or bathroom.
