Manual ISDN telephone adapter
The multiple subscriber number (MSN) must be set.
Step 5
Before you can use the Phone service with the ISDN telephone adapter, you must
set the multiple subscriber number MSN for each of your ISDN phones (see the user
manual for your ISDN telephone). Only then will the ISDN telephone ring for the
correct number.
Important: For your existing ISDN telephone, you had to enter the telephone
number without the area code in the telephone. In contrast, with our service
you don't set the telephone number but simply enter 1 for the main connection
(Line 1) or 2 for the additional connection (Line 2).
Example: You have two phone numbers:
Main connection (Line 1): 044 535 1117
Additional connection (Line 2): 044 535 1116 (assuming you ordered two lines!)
• The ISDN telephone, whose MSN is programmed with 1, rings when a call is received
for «044 535 1117». The number for outgoing calls is also «044 535 1117».
• The ISDN telephone, whose MSN is programmed with 2, rings when a call is recei-
ved for «044 535 1116». The number for outgoing calls is also «044 535 1116».
