elements in retracted position should not impair a free
movement of the door.
p) If a door closer is installed, it must be ensured that the
operation of the door is not difficult for children, disa-
bled or elderly persons.
q) After installation of the latching element and engaging
element it should be considered that the door is not
hindered in its free movement.
r) Intended floor locking hutches, strike plates resp. locking
hutches must be installed according to the instructions
in order to ensure the compliance with the certified
standard element. Discrepancies due to different ver-
sions are only allowed in consultation with WSS.
s) The panic function is ensured only when the key is
being pulled.
t) The use of thumb turn cylinders in conjunction with
the described panic locks it only possible by using elec-
tronic thumb turn cylinders with return mechanism for
locking nose tested and approved by WSS.

u) On the inside of the door, just above the horizontal
actuating rod or on the actuating rod itself should be a
sign with the wording "For Opening Push Against The
Rod" or a pictogram, providing it has a large enough
flat space for the required label. The surface of the pic-
togram should be at least 8,000 mm

3.1 Function
