3. General Information

To perform ISDN connections in a star type installation avoiding transfer pro-
blems by long cable lines, the only possibilities were to do a seperate ISDN
connection for each wall outlet (a very costly solution) or to change the star
type cabling into a bus type cabling by using passive star distributors, this,
however, will rapidly exceed the normal maximum ISDN bus cable length.
The ISDN-TE-Hub home 1/4 solves this problem quite easily and without
cost intensive mounting or installation work and without reducing functio-
nal features.
