35. For safety reasons, we recommend pouring hot water out
through the spout with the lid closed.
36. Be especially careful when lifting or carrying the kettle filled
with hot water.
37. Do not unlock the lid latch during or shortly after use to open
the lid. Hot water might squirt out of the jug. If you want to
open the lid, f.e. to refill cold water, hot water remaining in
the jug should be poured out through the spout with the lid
closed first.
38. Caution: The surface of the heating element (in the bottom
of the jug) will stay very hot for some time even after swit-
ching off!
39. Never start the appliance using a remote or timer.
40. Only use the included jug and lid with this appliance. Do not
use the appliance on another appliance base and never place
the jug on a hot stove top. Improper accessories can cause
electric shock, fire or personal damage and damage the appli-
ance itself!
41. Before moving or cleaning the appliance, always switch it off
with the ON/OFF toggle switch. Then, pull the power plug
from the socket and wait for the appliance to cool down com-
pletely. Please pull the plug if the appliance is not in use.
42. The lid always has to be closed during use. Do not place any-
thing on the lid.
43. Pull the plug after every use. Only then is the appliance defi-
nitely switched off.
44. Keep the appliance clean. Always switch the appliance off,
pull the power plug and let the appliance cool down comple-
tely before cleaning and storing it. Please refer to the
„Cleaning and care" section on page 45 of this manual.
