16. Place the appliance so that it is never exposed to direct sun-
light.
17. Never put sharp or pointed objects and tools into the appli-
ance openings. The appliance may become damaged – dan-
ger of electric shock!
18. Do not shake or relocate the appliance while it is in operati-
on.
19. Use the Solis Design Kettle only to heat water. It is not suit-
able for boiling any other liquids.
20. Only switch the appliance on when there is enough water in
the kettle (note MIN marking!), otherwise the appliance
might be damaged.
21. Should there be too little water in the kettle or should the
water have evaporated, thereby triggering the overheat pro-
tection, pull the plug and let the appliance cool down for
15 minutes before refilling cold water into the kettle.
22. Use the appliance only as described in this manual. Never
switch the appliance on with an empty kettle. Improper use
can cause personal injury. Only fill the jug with cold water and
make sure never to exceed the MAX marking resp. fall under
the MIN marking.
23. Only use with the provided accessories, or accessories recom-
mended by Solis, incorrect accessories can lead to damage of
the appliance.
24. This appliance is only for domestic use and is not suitable for
commercial use. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats.
25. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
26. Check your electric kettle before every use.
27. In order to avoid electric shock, do not use the appliance if the
cable or plug are damaged or the appliance is otherwise faul-
ty, dropped or damaged. Never attempt repairs yourself, but
take your appliance to Solis or a Solis approved service centre
