4.2.3 Installation of contact unit
- Determine switching point
- Connect an ohmmeter or continuity checker to the contact unit. Two wires next to one
another are connected to the contact (see connection diagram).
- While the window is open, move the locking bolt into the position that requires monitoring.

- Move the contact unit slowly in the direction of the arrow,

- u ntil the contact is activated.

- Add an 1 mm to the determined switching point as reserve and make a mark at this
position on the magnetic unit should the other reference mark deviate from it.
- Transfer the determined mark of the magnetic unit to the window
frame.
- Mark the distance at the side.
- If the contact needs sinking, make a recess (see next page "Insert
contact unit").
- We recommend making the borehole for the cable first.
A borehole of 4 - 6 mm diameter is required for the cable bushing
of the contact unit.
For production reasons, the casting compound at the cable outlet
of the contact unit may be slightly raised, so that it may be
necessary to sink the borehole.
- Move the contact unit into the intended position and secure it with
adhesive tape.
- Check all functions:
The contact should only indicate locking when the locking bolt has penetrated min. 50% of the
anchorage of the armature. If this is not the case, alter the position of the contact unit until this
requirement has been fulfilled. (It may be necessary to widen the cable borehole). Do not make
the fixing bores for the contact unit until a successful function test has been performed.
Tighten fixing screws evenly but not too tightly.
