Mounting

ATTENTION
The housing of the contact unit is equipped with a sensitive Reed contact.
Avoid hard blows, high pressure and distortion!

Important information!
Due to unavoidable tolerances in the response behavior of Reed contacts and the
possible influence of the driving rods on the magnetic field, the magnetic unit must
be installed first. This is the only way to determine the actual switching point of the
contact and the exact installation position of the contact unit. Due to the mentioned
influences, the switching point can deviate from the marks.
When installing on magnetic, conductive material, (e.g. steel doors), the transmis-
sion range can be affected. In this case, determine before installation by a function
test, whether use is possible under these conditions. Observe Chapter 4.2.1 to 4.2.3.
The following section describes installation in a window armature. Follow the same
procedure when installing in a door.
