12 Mounting and Connection Instructions Locking Sensor slimline with Magnetic Contact
4.2.1 Select mounting site
- Open the window. While the window is open, move the locking bolt into the position that
requires monitoring (normally "closed").
- Select a locking bolt at the multiple locking.
- Check the following points carefully:
- It should be possible to attach and install the adapter plate using this bolt.
Note: The play between the bolt and the adapter plate is reduced to a minimum when finally
installed with the fixation plate.
- The contact must be mounted in the frame so that the mark of the magnet and the contact
when monitored are opposite one another.
- Ensure that the magnetic and contact unit can be installed at the required distance and with
the maximum permissible installation tolerance:
The clear distance "a" between the
housings should be 1 mm to 7 mm.
If possible, do not fully use the maximum
permissible distance (10 mm).
If necessary, the contact unit can be
installed at a distance. Use the surface
mounted base Item no. 030110.17 for this
purpose (see Chapter 8 "Accessories").
In case the distance that is available is too
short, the contact unit can be inserted
(sunk) into wood or plastic constructions
(see 4.2.3).
The offset at the side of the housing should
not exceed 3 mm in all directions.
- When fixing the contact unit, there should be no mechanical tension, therefore ensure that
the mounting surface is flat. Unevenness must be compensated for, e.g. with flexible spacers.
- Ensure that the locking function is not impeded by the installation of the magnetic unit (sliding
space of the locking pieces):
Move the bolt into the opened position or with turn and tilt fittings into the middle position. The
installation site for the guide plate is approximately in the middle of the adapter plate. Hold
the guide plate at this point and check whether the bolt can move into all positions without
being impeded.
Note: If the retaining plate has a deepended armature profile, the recess underneath the
guide plate must be compensated for by an plain washer or equivalent. If the fixing screw is
then too short, the recess in the guide plate must be made deeper.
The ínstallation site is only suitable when all requirements have been fulfilled!
