Recover old
oil from the
transmission
Pay close attention to the color of the transmission fluid in the old oil sight
glass. When the color changes from dark to nearly matching that of the
new oil, the transmission fluid exchange is complete.
Turn off the vehicle's engine and reconnect the transmission's oil hoses
to their original positions. Then restart the engine, shift to the P gear, and
check the transmission fluid level. If the level is low, add new transmission
fluid and inspect the hoses for leaks. Once the fluid level is correct,
test-drive the vehicle for about one kilometer and check again (this step
is very important).
Caution
Pay attention to the correct connection of the machine's inlet and outlet
hoses to the automatic transmission's oil hoses.
Check all connectors for leaks. If any leakage is found, stop the machine
and reinstall the connections.
Connect the transmission's oil outlet end to the machine's oil inlet hose,
and connect the transmission's oil inlet end to the machine's oil outlet
hose. (Briefly start the engine to check the direction of oil flow at both
ends.) Then, open the manual valve on the machine's oil inlet hose.
Turn the left valve to the "CLEANING" position and the right valve to the
"EXCHANGING" position.
No need to start the vehicle; simply turning on the machine can fill the
transmission with new oil.
Turn the left valve to the "EXCHANGING" position and the right valve to
the "EXTRACTING" position.
