The range which can be obtained using the LASERLUCHS® IR laser Illuminator
depends on the following factors:
• the photocathode sensitivity of the image intensifier tube
• the photosensitivity of the camera module
• the quality of the optical systems used
• focussing system of the IR laser Illuminator
• the weather conditions (e.g. mist, rain or snow)
Depending on the Illuminators focussing system, there may be small dif-
ferences in brightness in the outside area of the lustre cone. The technical
principles involved result in an optimum illumination of an object being
achieved at greater distances, while the round and uniform illumination
becomes slightly elliptical at smaller distances.
