9. Spring scarf
Here's how
Place 3 needles into the middle holes of the bar and work 4 laces with 480 loops
on both sides.
Then, with a large darning needle, pull a different colour thread through the
loops on both sides to avoid later tangling when removing the needles. Once this
is done, remove the top bar of the hairpin lace loom and remove the lace from
the needle.
Work the lace edge with the shorter loops as follows: Crochet together 3 loops
with one slst, 3 ch. Repeat starting from *.
Now place two laces together with the longer loops touching, braid 3 loops from
the first lace with 3 loops from the second lace: * Place the crochet needle into
the 3 loops from the first lace, then in the 3 loops from the second lace and draw
these through the first. Repeat starting from *.
Do exactly the same for the other two laces.
Now place these two broader laces together and crochet together with a slip
stitch: * Insert into the chain stitch arc of the first lace and crochet 1 slst, 3 ch,
insert into the chain stitch arc of the second lace and crochet 1 slst, 3 ch. Re-
peat starting from *.
