8. Flower variations
Here's how
Place 3 needles in the middle holes of the bar. Create a border in yellow with 33
loops on both sides. Then, with a large darning needle, pull a different coloured
thread through the longer loops and a yellow thread through the shorter loops
to avoid later tangling when removing the needles.
Once this is done, remove the top bar from the hairpin lace loom and pull the lace
from the needle. Firmly pull together the yellow thread and knot on the back
side. This automatically creates the flower shape.
Now work the flower edge in white:
1st round: * 1 slst into the loop, 3 ch, repeat starting from *.
2nd round: * Into the chain stitch arc from the previous round, 1 single crochet
(sc) and 1 Picot (4 ch, 1 slst) into the
first chain stitch, repeat starting from *.
Close to a round with 1 slst.
