5. BATTERY CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

To charge the batteries before first use and/or recharge the batteries:
1. Plug the Wall Charger (9) to a standard wall plug using the appropriate adaptor and then connect it to the
DC port (7) of the battery (6).
IMPORTANT! Connect the wall Charger (9) to the power source. Do not use outdoors or in damp ar-
eas. Do not alter or subject the wall Charger (9) to damage or stress. Never alter the
components.
IMPORTANT!
Do not turn on or wear the Vest during the charging process. It is essential that the Vest
is switched off before starting the charging process.
2. When the Battery LED indicator (10) is RED the battery is not fully charged and is still charging.
IMPORTANT! While charging, always ensure that the wall Charger (9) is properly connected to both the
DC port (7) and the AC adapter is securely inserted in the power source.
3. When the LED Battery indicator (10) is GREEN the battery is fully charged and ready for use or storage
Approximately 2 hours charging time is required to fully charge the battery, with the exception of the first
battery charge which may require a longer time (approx. 4 hours).
The battery will naturally discharge itself over time. If the Vest has not been used for more than a month,
battery charging may also require for a longer time; approximately four hours. It is also recommended to
recharge the batteries at least every 16 weeks to prevent capacity reduction.
IMPORTANT! A fully charged battery is recommended before the first use of the Vest.
For the best performance, Alpinestars recommends to fully charge the battery before each use of the Vest.
IMPORTANT!
Alpinestars recommends to always use the original Alpinestars wall Charger (9) and
battery (6) parts.
6. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR HT HEAT TECH VEST
6.1 Introduction
The HT HEAT TECH Vest has an intelligent controlled heating system that comprises:
• A temperature sensor embedded inside the Vest to continuously check the user's body temperature in
order to provide and maintain the pre-set heating temperature for optimal riding comfort.
• Smartphone APP for turning ON/OFF the HT HEAT TECH Vest and to set and control the internal
temperature through a Bluetooth
