3. FITTING
The Vest is not designed as an outer garment. It should be worn underneath a motorcycle garment such as
a jacket or suit
For best performance to the user while riding in adverse climate conditions, it is important that the Vest fits
correctly, it should be snug and form fitting, without being too tight or hindering user movement or comfort.
If too large it will not make optimum contact with the user's body resulting in reduced heat level. It is
strongly recommended that the fit of the Vest is checked before purchase, preferably with the garment that
it will normally be worn with. Select a starting size of the Vest from Table 1, put the Vest on and close the
front zip. Then wear the outer garment to check that the Vest is not causing discomfort or impeding
movements.
The Vest is labelled with an EU and US numeric size. This size corresponds to half of the chest circumference.
Table 1 below provides guidance on the Vest size and acceptable ranges for chest, waist, hip circumference
and height. The Vest should adhere comfortably to your body.. Alpinestars dealer can provide additional
information and advice on choosing the suitable size.
