Intended Use / Application Areas
The plate rim raiser is a class 1 medical device.
The aid for daily life enables the user to eat solid food independently from a flat eating plate.
The plate rim raiser forms a high, inwardly sloping rim so that the food can be pushed more
easily from the plate onto the cutlery.
Any use that goes above and beyond this does not comply with the intended use.
Indication / Patient Target Group / Intended Users
The product is suitable for children, adolescents and adults with motor impairments in hand
and / or fingers. Therefore, the product is suitable for e.g. joint diseases, neurological dis-
eases, consequences of injuries and deformities. It is also suitable for one-handedness.
Risks Associated with Use and Contraindications
If used properly, risks can be eliminated during use. There are no known contraindications.

Your product is delivered ready for use. A copy of the Instructions for Use is enclosed with
the product.
Teaching the User
The user is taught how to use this device by trained staff who will reference these Instruc-
tions for Use.
Adjustment Options / Features
The flexible plate rim raiser can be attached to normal dinner plates with an outer diameter
of 19 to 25.4 cm / 7.5 to 10". It is attached to the outside of the plate rim with three clips and
forms a high, inwardly sloping surface to make it easier to slide food from the plate onto the
cutlery.
