Update instructions for Element Amp EA101EQ-G
1. You need a USB thumb drive which is formatted in FAT. The stick should be completely
empty.
2. Download the latest firmware files from http://www.elac.de/firmware-drivers/ and extract
them to the root directory of the thumb drive.
3. Disconnect the Element Amp from the mains.
4. Insert a spikey tool (preferably a screw driver) into the RESET opening on the rear side of
the Element Amp (see picture, position 1.). Make sure to press and hold the key which is
located behind the opening (you should recognize a click).
5. By still pressing the RESET key, insert the mains plug into the mains receptacle on the
rear side of the Element Amp (see picture, position 2.).
6. The OLED display at the front will ask you to insert the USB thumb drive. You can now
release the RESET key. Insert the thumb drive (see picture, position 3.).
7. The update will now be installed. After finishing this process you'll be asked to detach the
USB thumb drive. Detach the thumb drive.
8. Pull the mains plug, wait for some seconds and put the plug in again. The firmware has
been installed now. The amp is now ready for operation.
