2 RECOMMENDATIONS AND INSTALLATION
2.1 Recommendations
2.1.1 Recommended chemicals
•
It is recommended to use sulfuric acid, which is 100% compatible with the Santoprene tube.
•
It is recommended to use chlorine diluted to 5% (maximum 10%)
2.1.2 Chemical products not recommended
•
Hydrochloric acid is not recommended, as it can shorten the life of the peristaltic tube to just a few
weeks, and oxidize the pump's metal parts. In this case, the warranty will be void.
•
The stabilizer level must be less than 15 ppm to avoid interfering with the redox reading.
•
The use of chlorine in hard water may cause the injection valve to become clogged with "scale" on the
part in contact with the water. Please check periodically that the valve passage is clear. In the event of
clogging, the peristaltic tube may be damaged.
2.1.3 General recommendations
•
The pump must be installed away from sources of heat, in a dry place with a maximum ambient
temperature of 40°C. The minimum operating temperature depends on the liquid to be dosed, which
must always remain fluid.
•
The pump must be located in a place where it cannot be flooded.
•
Electrical installations must comply with the national standards in force in each country.
In France, the NFC 15-100 standard must be complied with..
•
A means of disconnection from the power supply network must be present, and must have a contact
opening distance of all poles ensuring complete disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions.
