10. Troubleshooting

With the pressure switch, you purchased a product built to the state of the art and operationally safe.
Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur. Therefore, observe the following information about troub-
leshooting.
The pressure switch activates the garden pump although no water is removed through the garden hose
• Check the hose system that is connected at the output of the pressure switch for leaks.
Pressure switch reports running dry although there is water in the hoses.
• The garden pump conveys no water. There may be air in the garden pump, which will cause it to not suck
in any new water from the well.
• The water pressure is too high. Use a pressure reducer between the garden pump and the pressure
switch. The maximum pressure for the pressure switch is approx. 10 bar.
The garden pump does not switch off
• Check the hose system for leaks.
• To avoid too-frequent activation/deactivation of the connected garden pump, the pressure switch delays
deactivation by a few seconds if a pressure increase has been recognised (by closing of the water spray
or water tap).
No water is conveyed
• The garden pump does not suck in any water. Check if the suction hose is bent or damaged.
• Fill the garden pump and suction hose with water. Also use a return flow stop. This facilitates and acce-
lerates the suction process of the garden pump.
• Open the check valve in the suction hose, if present.
• Check the filters of the garden pump.
• Flush the pressure switch with clear water.

11. Disposal
