Adjust the chain tension and chain replacement (Fig. D)

WARNING! Below described operations may only be performed with work
gloves, as touching the chain may cause injuries.
WARNING! Never use any guide bar without bar tip guard! Use low-kickback
replacement chains always! Only use guide bar and chain as provided with the tool.
Chain or guide bar replacement
To change the chain or guide bar, remove screw (14) and the chain cover (6). Remove guide
bar and chain from the saw. Now remove the old chain from the bar.
Insert a new chain (8) in the groove of the guide bar. Make sure the running direction of the
chain is correct, according to the pictogram (fig. F).
To assembly bar and chain on the power head, put the chain over the drive sprocket (15).
Make sure that the slot (17) in the guide bar is over the guidance (18) and the chain-
adjustment-pin (19) fits the hole (20) in the bar, see fig. E. Attach the chain cover (6), screw
in the screw (14) but do not tighten it. Set the correct chain tension, as described below.
Tighten the screws firmly correct.
