And this is how to operate the appliance
1. Pre-heat the appliance at maximum power for about 15 minutes.
2. Put the filled pans in the raclette level (3) for gratinating.
3. Depending on the kind of food the pans are filled with, the temperature can be
infinitely adjusted (1). The pilot lamp (2) shows the heating-up circles and
goes out once the desired temperature has been reached.
4. In the practical storage area for the pans (parking surface) (4) you can "park"
the pans in the unheated area if you take a little break from eating.
5. With the small shovels the food cooked in the pans can be moved, taken out
or the cheese be pushed out. You can also use other utensils made of wood or
plastic. However make sure that those are not in contact with hot areas for a
longer period of time. Under no circumstances must you use any cooking uten-
sils made of metal as the non-stick coating might be damaged otherwise.
6. The grill plate is non-stick-coated and has a slight vaulting in order to ensure
that fats will flow off in a perfect way. This allows you to cook your dishes in a
healthy manner while generating little smoke.
Cleaning and maintenance
Unplug the appliance and let it cool before cleaning! Then clean grill plate, pans
and small shovels in lukewarm water with a little amount of dishwashing deter-
gent. Under no circumstances must you use any scouring agents or solvents, no
pointed objects and no oven sprays. Changes in colour of the stainless steel sur-
faces can be removed with a special stainless steel cleansing agent.
Never immerse the appliance in water!
