Installation manual for the solar battery charger type SOLARWATT SLR 24 LT
1 General description
The solar battery charger type SOLARWATT SLR 24LT is conceived as energy saver for use in solar plants
of little power with maintenance-free plomb-gel or plomb-fleece accumulators. With its regulation the SLR
24LT guarantees, throughout its avoidance of inadmissible and life span-shortening battery loading
conditions, a safe and lasting function of the solar plant.
2 Overload protection
If a Pb-battery has reached its loading release, gassing and overloading occur normally when there is continuing
charge. Gassing and overloading lead to irreversible chemical reaction and thus can destroy the battery. Therefore
it is necessary to have a overload protection which means that the solar module gets switched off as soon as the
battery is full. Because the loading release of the battery depends on temperature it gets adapted to the ambient
temperature through the solar battery charger type SOLARWATT SLR 24LT.

Please note the following advices for installation and operation of the solar modules. Non-compliance leads to
expiring of the guarantee:
• Never let solar modules fall down!
• Never let hard things like screws, stones etc. fall onto the module!
• Do not step onto the moduls and never wind or mount them under mechanical tension!
• Do not use lenses or mirrors for bundling of the light! Danger of overheating of the material!
• Do not wear diamond finger rings or something similar! Those can be like glass cutter!
• Protect the modules of overloading from battery chargers, generators, lighting machines etc. If you need advice
please contact your distributor.
