For replay, connect the video output and the audio
output of the recorder to the video and audio input
IN (9) of the monitor (white for audio, yellow for
video).
3) Instead of a video recorder, a second monitor for
parallel surveillance can be connected to the video
and audio output OUT: Connect the video and
audio output OUT (10) to the video and audio input
of the second monitor.
4) Finally connect the supplied power supply unit to
the jack DC IN (15) and the mains plug to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

4.4 Wireless camera

4.4.1 Channel selection

The wireless transmission is made in the 2.4 GHz
range which has been divided by the manufacturer
into five channels with a distance of 14 MHz. As a
maximum, three channels can be used simulta-
neously (channels 1, 3, and 5) as two adjacent chan-
nels will interfere with each other.
The supplied camera is set to channel 1. When
operating a second camera, set it to channel 5 by
means of the DIP switches on the rear side of the
camera (see fig. 3); when operating a third wireless
camera, set it to channel 3.

4.4.2 Power supply

For power supply of the supplied camera, a regulated
12 V power supply unit with a minimum output current
of 250 mA is required, e.g. MONACOR PS-362ST.
1) In case of a power supply unit with variable output
voltage, adjust it to 12 V (±0.5 V).
2) Connect the power supply via a low voltage plug
5.5/2.5 mm (outside/inside diameter) to the inline
jack (17). Always observe the correct polarity: the
positive pole must be at the inner contact of the
plug.
3) After applying the operating voltage, the camera is
ready for operation.

4.4.3 Focus setting

Switch on the monitor and adjust it to the camera (see
chapter 5). Remove the lens cover of the camera and
turn the lens (19) to adjust a clear picture on the moni-
tor.
12
5 Operation
1) Switch on the monitor with the POWER switch (6).
One of the indicating LEDs (2) will light up. After a
short time, the screen will be bright.
2) Select the signal source by means of the sliding
switch (11) on the rear side:
CAMERA = the monitor shows the camera pictures
VCR = video recorder replay
3) If several surveillance cameras are used, the
camera pictures can be successively displayed on
the monitor (automatic sequential switching). For
this purpose, the switch AUTO/MANUAL (5) must
not be locked (position AUTO). Use the control
TIME (7) to adjust the dwell time of a camera pic-
ture between 2 and 60 seconds.
For manual selection of a certain camera, press
the switch AUTO/MANUAL and select the camera
with the button SKIP (4). As a check, the corre-
sponding LED (2) will light up:
C1 = channel 1
C2 = channel 5
C3 = channel 3
C4 = cable-connected camera, connected to the
jack C4 (16)
4) Adjust an optimum picture with the brightness con-
trol BRT. (13) and the contrast control CONT. (14)
on the rear side.
5) In case of vertical rolling of
the picture (see figure on
the right), adjust a steady
picture by means of the con-
trol V-HOLD (12).
6) Adjust the volume with the control VOL (1). If no
sound is transmitted, turn the control clockwise to
zero.
7) After operation, switch off the monitor and the
power supply of the camera/s. If the surveillance
system is not used for a longer period, disconnect
the mains plug of the power supply unit of the
monitor from the mains socket; otherwise the
power supply unit will have a low current con-
sumption even with the monitor switched off.
