No liability for any damage will be accepted if the
units are used for other purposes than originally
intended, if they are not correctly connected or
operated or not repaired in an expert way.
If the units are to be put out of operation definitively,
take them to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.
Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
blue = neutral, brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
3 Applications
The wireless transmission system AV-100SET con-
sists of a wireless camera with integrated micro-
phone, a monitor with integrated 2.4 GHz receiver,
and a power supply unit for the monitor. These units
serve for setting up a wireless video surveillance
system. For this purpose, a 12 V power supply unit for
the camera is additionally required (see chapter
4.4.2). The system can be extended by three addi-
tional cameras from the MONACOR range:
2 x wireless camera, e. g. AV-100CCD (corresponds
to the supplied camera) or
wireless camera AV-125CCD for outdoor applica-
tion
1 x cable-connected camera TVCCD-510
If further monitors with receiver unit are required, the
following models are suitable:
AV-100BS (corresponds to the supplied monitor)
AV-3000BS (26 cm monitor)

3.1 Transmission range

The transmission range of wireless cameras largely
depends on the local conditions. Without any ob-
stacles between the camera and the monitor, the
maximum range for the above-mentioned models is
300 m. However, in buildings it is reduced to approx.
30 m by walls and ceilings, depending on their condi-
tion.
For increasing the range, use e. g. the following
wireless cameras with a transmitting power of 25 mW
from the MONACOR range:
AV-3010CCD (channels 1 – 5)
AV-3031CCD (channel 1)
AV-3033CCD (channel 3)
AV-3035CCD (channel 5)
AV-3080PIR (channels 1 – 5)
3.2 Approval
According to the R+TTE directive (Radio and Tele-
communication Technical Equipment), the approval
for the supplied wireless camera (model AV-100CCD)
is valid in the countries of the European Union. For
operation in countries outside the EU, please contact
your retailer or the MONACOR subsidiary in the
country where this unit will be operated. The monitor
does not require a particular approval according to
the R+TTE directive.
4 Operation
4.1 Placing the camera and the monitor
Practical experience has shown that an optimum
reception is achieved when placing the units at a
height of minimum 1.5 m to 2 m above the ground.
Prior to final mounting, a trial run is recommended as
the transmission quality can be substantially changed
by displacing the camera and the monitor by a few
centimetres only.
A 6.3 mm (
1
/
") thread jack is supplied with the
4
camera for mounting it on a support or a stand. This
thread jack can be attached to the camera housing by
means of commercial plastic adhesive.
4.2 Presetting of the monitor
The monitor is factory-set for operation with four cam-
eras. If less than four cameras are used, the monitor
can be matched accordingly by means of the double
DIP switch (3) on the lower side of the monitor. Thus,
the camera channels which are not used will be
skipped during automatic camera selection (chapter 5).

2) A video recorder can be connected for audio and
video recording and later replay:
