6 Operation

GB
After all connections have been made, switch on the
switch-over unit with the POWER switch (8). The
channel display (1) first shows "0" and then switches to
one of the connected cameras. As a self-test one of
the light diodes (2) blinks for approx. 1.5 min., at the
ALARM output the control voltage is present for some
seconds, and with the signal device switched on (see
chapter 6.5) a signal sounds for a short time. After no
light diode blinks any more, the system is ready for
operation, and the operating mode AUTO is activated.
If the surveillance system will not be used for a
longer period of time, disconnect the power supply unit
from the mains socket as it continuously has a low
power consumption (even with the switch-over unit
switched off).

6.1 Manual camera selection

For manual selection of a camera picture press the
button (14) on the remote control corresponding to the
camera connection. The channel display switches to
the number of the selected channel, and the picture of
this camera appears on the connected monitor.

6.2 Operating mode AUTO

This operating mode allows to show successively on
the monitor the pictures of those cameras, the motion
detectors of which have recognized a movement. This
operating mode is switched on with the AUTO button
(11) on the remote control and is furthermore activated
after switching on.
The motion detector remains active until approx.
1 minute after the last recognized movement. During
this time the light diode (2) of its channel blinks in the
switch-over unit. If none of the connected motion
detectors is active, the screen of the connected moni-
tor remains dark. The channel display (1) signalizes in
this case "0".

6.3 Operating mode SCAN

In the operating mode SCAN the camera channels se-
lected before are switched in a cyclical sequence.
After switching-on, these are the channels CH1 to
CH4 (factory setting). This order can be changed as
follows:
10
1) Press the PRGM button (13):
the channel display (1) shows "P".
2) Press the SCAN button (10):
the channel display shows "c".
3) Via the buttons "1", "2", "3", and "4" (9) enter the
desired order (max. 4 steps).
4) Press the PRGM button (13):
the channel display (1) shows "-" and changes
to the present channel number again after approx.
3 s.
5) If another operating mode was selected before,
press the SCAN button (10) to have the program-
med sequence running.
Note: A programmed sequence is not stored when
switching off the switch-over unit. After switching on
again, the factory setting (1, 2, 3, 4) is adjusted as
before.

6.4 Adjustment of the dwell time

The dwell time, i. e. the time until the next sequential
switching, is preset to 10 s after switching on. It can be
changed as follows:
1) Press the PRGM button (13):
the channel display (1) shows "P".
2) Press the DWELL button (12):
the channel display shows "d".
3) Via the numerical keys (9) enter the desired time
(1 – 99 s). When entering "0", the time of approx.
0.5 s is adjusted.
4) Press the PRGM button (13):
the channel display shows "-" and changes to
the present channel number after approx. 3 s.
Note: A changed dwell time is not stored when switch-
ing off the switch-over unit. After switching on again,
the time is 10 s as before.
6.5 Switching on and off the acoustic alarm
signal
Via the switch BUZZER ON/OFF (3) the internal
acoustic signal device can be switched on and off
again. If the button is pressed, when triggering a
motion detector a loud signal similar to a pulsed peak
sounds for approx. 5 s. The switch BUZZER ON/OFF
has no influence on the output of the control voltage at
the ALARM jack (4).
